The respiratory system
Air goes through the nose, trachea and bronchi to the lungs. In the alveoli, oxygen passes into the blood and carbon dioxide comes out.
The circulatory system
- heart
- pumps blood
- arteries
- carry blood from the heart
- veins
- carry blood back to the heart
- capillaries
- tiny vessels that reach every cell
Excretion
The kidneys clean the blood and make urine; we also excrete through sweat and when we breathe out.
