States of matter

solid
has its own shape: a stone, ice
liquid
takes the shape of its container: water, juice
gas
fills all the space: air, steam

Materials

Materials can be hard or soft, flexible or rigid, transparent or opaque. Glass is transparent; rubber is flexible.

Light, sound and recycling

The Sun gives us light; sound travels through the air. Recycle: plastic in the yellow bin, paper in the blue bin and glass in the green bin.
